Our wedding Party
Here’s a snapshot of people that were there on our special day. A little something about each and every one of them (listed alternating, in order of height, naturally):
Kevin Fleming
Adam met 'Flems' as the new kid in 6th grade after growing up in Tennesse. He's a euphoniumist, a Marine, and now an over-worked accountant! One word: forensics.
Janelle Henney
Janelle and Holly became friends in 2010 at Northwestern, where they bonded over Holly's developing love of college football and Janelle's enthusiasm for generally everything. Janelle currently lives in Chicago with her husband Alex and the love of her life, their dog, Maggie.
.
Chris Salus
Adam and 'Salus' go all the way back to first grade Cub Scouts where Salus was very impressed by Adam's amazing leather working skills. A tough, coarse, beautifully ordained friendship quickly followed. When not dressing up as a Jurrasic Park character, Salus is rigorously nerding out about the video game Final Fantasy. Ask him about it, seriously.
Christina Ryan
Holly and Christina met in 2004 during volleyball tryouts before starting freshman year together at Sacred Heart Prep. Holly's volleyball career didn't last much longer, but Holly and Christina continued to bond over classes, the Giants, and eventually over college in the Midwest. Christina lives in Winters, CA with her husband, Austin and their two sweet pups, Taffy and Kit Kat.
Dylan Clark
Adam met the 'Dylan Micheal Clark' eating lunch at a Run DMC concert circa 2005. With his incredulous smirk, Dylan spent a tour of duty with the Marines after high school and now works at the DuPage County Sheriffs Office. If you want to see this duck smile, just bring up the Cubs playoff chances or bop him on the nose.
Drew Gannon
Holly and Drew met during Welcome Week of Freshman Year at Northwestern, where luck placed them in the same dorm and journalism peer advisory group. Over their four years, they created lifelong memories, going to Grant Park together on Election Night 2008, studying abroad in Prague together, and even sharing a room in their first apartment. Drew has lived in New York for six years after graduating Northwestern, and currently lives in Brooklyn with her fiance, Sid.
Percy Hatcherson
Well, technically, Adam and Percy both went to the same high school but never crossed each others paths in the sea of 2,400 other students. They did end up meetings their senior year of college at DePaul when Adam and Jake (shorter, see below) needed an apartment, and Pecry needed two roommates to continue a lease on a Logan Square apartment. They ended up rooming together for three years and have been complaining about mayoral politics over tasty beers ever since. When not attending White Sox games, Percy works as a developer for a web based test prep and teaching platform.
Cari Nazeer
Holly and Cari also met during Welcome Week of freshman year at Northwestern, living right down the hall from one another. At 18, Holly was sure that Cari would be one of the coolest people she knew in her late twenties, and she was not wrong. Cari lives in Philadelphia with her (new!! 8/18/18!) husband, Sefan.
Jake Sherbrooke
Adam and Jake were randomly assigned as freshman year roommates at DePaul University but stayed roommates through the next six years and two apartments. When not constantly exploring for the next weird art to put on his body, Jake spends his days as a sales rep for Jack Daniel's.
Danielle Siegel
Danielle and Holly met at a birthday party in California while both were in high school, and getting ready to attend Northwestern! Placed in the same dorm, they became friends in Evanston, and lived together in college and in Chicago after college when they both completed a year of AmeriCorps service together with City Year. Danielle ("Dani", to everyone but Holly) currently lives in the greater Dallas-Fortworth area.
Chris Schill
Adam and 'Schill' met over sub par cafeteria food at the 6th grade lunch table. After working his way through ISU to become a developer at a life insurance software company, Adam introduced Schill to the complete joy of homebrewing beer. Ever since, they've co-brew many tasty batches and sought out many more pints.
Annie Riggs
Annie received her best birthday gift on April 6th, 1990, when for her third birthday, she gained a little cousin. She got to meet Holly a few months later, and has since been an amazing older cousin, role model, and friend. Holly and Annie got to spend a bit more time together while Annie was in grad school in Madison, Wisconsin, and Holly was at Northwestern. Annie lives in Bellingham, Washington, where she is a psychology professor at Western Washington University. In early 2018, she and her husband, Jake, just welcomed there first child, Eden!
Thomas Bulger
Adam and 'Buldge' met whilest compare and contrasting the finer points of the 8th grade cafetiera's meatball sandwich. After growing up in the Netherlands through the 7th grade, Buldge has gone on to live the lush lifestyle of a current MBA student at DePaul working at Northern Trust. When not being too cool for the rest of us, Buldge enjoys posting about the new craft beer he found, playing a lackluster round of golf, and over-scheduling our weekend funtivities due to his condition of constant FOMO (it's not contagious, we think).
Lauren Jung
Lauren is another one of Holly's older cousins. Growing up living ten blocks away from one another and only one year apart, Lauren was always more like a sister. Though they never went to school together, Holly and Lauren went on vacations, mission trips, and school visits together. After living in New York for seven years, Lauren moved back to California to prepare for grad school, and currently lives in Berkeley where she is getting her Masters in Social Work.
